The other two gadgets belong to our 7 and 9 year outdated. I spent 2.5 solid days learning mp3 gamers, iPod Nanos (5th and 6th era), and iTouches. I realized rather a lot. Let me summarize our discoverings and let you remember why we purchased 3 of these nice little gadgets.
Needs: audiobooks with bookmarking, podcasts, music, video, voice recording for the occassional lecture/seminar, and movies (nice to have)
Sony meets the entirese wants with the very best worth available on the market. iPod nanos have been expensive: the 5th generation is tough to seek out for a cheap worth, the sixth technology is TOO small for any of us to revel in, and the iTouch is way over we wanted to spend - and used to be overkill for our needs (I truly do not want an app for that.)

I've had it for 2 weeks and have dropped it twice...still works perfectly. It has an amazingly long battery existence....I've owned 4 earlier mp3 gamers (2 inventives, a previous era sony and a sansa) and this one blows the opposites away with how lengthy a cost remainings
